ISAC isolates the immense strain, impact loading and movement deflections that are created by airplane take-offs and landings making it an ideal interlayer with overlays for airport runway application. Bridge decks and highways will benefit from ISAC's geosynthetics and asphalt mastic material that will create an effective, durable, and long lasting water barrier, preventing water and de-icing salts from penetrating into the sub-base.
ISAC's high-strength, impervious interlayer prevents moisture penetration to the most critical areas of concrete: the concrete joints and cracks. In colder areas ISAC will prevent tenting, this is where water freezes in a joint or crack and heaves the pavement. |
